John Iversen, born in Hamburg, Germany, and apprenticed in Vancouver, Canada, has been creating his jewelry in New York State for over 25 years.
A master craftsman and artist, Iversen has been acknowledged for his work with the George Jensen Award at the Smithsonian Craft Show, the Ornament Magazine Excellence in Jewelry Award, and the Vendura Prize for Jewelry at the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show. His personally executed designs and one-of-a-kind pieces have graced the covers of fashion magazines, been exhibited worldwide, and presented to foreign dignitaries by past presidential administrations. His work is represented at the Renwick Gallery, the Metropolitan Museum, the Museum of Art and Design, and the Boston Museum of Art. Mr. Iversen received the prestigious Herbert Hofmann Award at the Schmuck 2010 exhibition in Munich, Germany, the oldest exhibition of contemporary jewelry worldwide.
