The “Hofburg” service was created by Lobmeyr for the Imperial Court of Vienna in 1835.
The service is on view in the palace as part of the Imperial Collection, and is in fact still used today for official state receptions. Hand-cut and polished, massive and extravagant in form, it remains one of the great royal crystal services ever produced.
