The skull has a long tradition in the manufactory’s history as a symbol of vanitas. One of the “classics” from the Memento Mori repertoire is Ignaz Günther’s stylised skull in white glazed porcelain. Now the miniature skull, designed in 1756, has got company. Presented in display cases or on desks, this authentic representation of a skull, a proud 16 centimetres tall, reveals the collector’s passion for extraordinary artefacts.
